Ranitomeya Fantastica "True Nominal"

from $125.00

Ranitomeya are a smaller genus of dart frog commonly referred to as ‘Thumbnails’. They have been very rewarding for us to keep, and we are sure you will feel the same. Active during the daytime, you may be able to hear the faint call or trill of the males looking to court a female. They do well in groups, if given enough space. We keep trios in 18 × 18 × 18 bio-active terrariums.

A truly stunning species from Peru, the Fantastica ‘True Nominal’ sports a bright orange head that fades into a creamy white band with blue lightning bolts on their legs and torso. The ‘True Nominal’ is extremely threatened in their natural habitat due to farming expansion. Obtaining captive bred frogs helps to preserve these beauties for future generations.
