Ranitomeya are a smaller genus of dart frog commonly referred to as ‘Thumbnails’. They have been very rewarding for us to keep, and we are sure you will feel the same. Active during the daytime, you may be able to hear the faint call or trill of the males looking to court a female. They do well in groups, if given enough space. We keep trios in 18 × 18 × 18 bio-active terrariums.

Ranitomeya Summersi ‘Sauce’ is a beautiful black frog with bright orange bands that are unique to each individual frog. It is native to a few small regions in Peru, and is primarily terrestrial. They will benefit from having extra leaf litter and foliage to give them more confidence to explore their environment as they are a more shy species.
